Pegasus

What is telepathy? It's communication between two people without the aid of their voices or sign language. It's communication between two people without the aid of their bodies or the senses.

Telepathy is the Pegasus of the age. We all know what it's supposed to look like, and we can talk about it, but none of us has ever seen it, so we can't agree on the details, and we can't discover anything new about it. Which strongly suggests that perhaps we're dealing with a non-entity. Maybe ESP isn't real.

Someone might answer, "'Maybe'? More like, 'Certainly ESP isn't real.'" Hence the lack of a growing knowledge of ESP - a lack of growth of details and complexity of the science of ESP: it's not a real, cogent phenomenon. It isn't real. It doesn't exist.

The problem with this is that there are indications, suggestions - experiential and philosophical - that ESP is in fact real. It does exist.
