Hermeneutica

I had another brief exchange with someone online regarding translation, interpretation, and faith. I suppose this is a live issue for anyone who evaluates the world and themselves in light of a written text, especially if that text is very old, and the product of a foreign culture.

It was in reading Saving the Appearances that hermeneutics dawned on my horizon. Reading Steiner's lectures on the various gospels deepened that perspective.
