Theology - it's in the air
[this photo comes from www.tehran24.com - it's a recent photo of Tehran. I'm sick of my own photos...]
From Concrete Blonde's "Bloodletting" album, the track "Tomorrow, Wendy":
Only God says jump
So I set the time
cause if he ever saw it
It was through these eyes of mine!
And if he ever suffered it was me who did his crying
That album - from 1990 - has some very harsh sentiment and thinking. From the track "The Beast":
Love is the leech, sucking you up
Love is a vampire, drunk on your blood
Love is the beast that will
Tear out your heart
Hungrily lick it and
Painfully pick it apart
Love is a ghost, haunting your head
Love is the killer you thought
Was your friend
Love is the teacher who lives in the dark
Sneak up and stick you
And painfully pick you apart
The "Love" in these lyrics doesn't have anything in common with the Christian "love is patient, love is kind, love doesn't demand it's own way..."
Does it?
